Although high season in Cancun is fast approaching, getting there is still incredibly affordable.

It’s worth noting that all of these examples are based on the cheapest cabin and ticket category. This means that if you want to choose your seat, or take hold luggage, you should expect to pay a little more.

Why Is Cancun So Popular With American Travelers?

The convenience and ease of getting to Cancun is just one of the reasons for the destination’s popularity.

Cancun is also known for its epic stretches of white sand beaches and stunning turquoise blue water.

Some of the best beaches in Cancun include Playa Delfines and Playa Tortugas. Both are known for the quality of their sand and are great spots for relaxation and soaking up the outstanding natural beauty.

If surfing is your idea of a good time, then try Playa Chac Mool in the heart of the hotel zone. 360 Surf School is based here and offers surf lessons with prices starting from $75. This is considered one of the best surf schools in the area.

And if you want to get a little off the beaten path then try Playa Langosta. This is a beach that’s popular with locals and is located to the north of the hotel zone. The shallow waters make it a great spot for swimming.

Another aspect that makes Cancun so popular with American travelers is that it doesn’t push you too far out of your comfort zone.

By this I mean that you will find a warm, American-style welcome in most of the resort hotels. The food tends to be familiar and of a very high standard too.

There is a different Cancun for every type of traveler. You can stay in your resort enjoying spa treatments, relax on the beach, or get out and explore the rich history and culture of the region.

Because Cancun has been attracting and appealing to American tourists for such a long time, it is a well oiled machine when it comes to knowing what to do to keep them happy!

And as high season approaches and is forecast to be busier than ever, we can say that it obviously works!
